UNIBEN Students Block Entrance To Airport Gate As They Continue To Protest ASUU Strike

This development which has resulted in a major gridlock on that axis is in fulfillment of their resolve to remain on the streets till their demands are met by the appropriate authorities to enable them to return to classes.

Following the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, some students of various institutions In Edo state who have been protesting since last week, continued today, May 9, as they blocked the entrance to the airport and the ever-busy Airport road.

This development which has resulted in a major gridlock on that axis is in fulfillment of their resolve to remain on the streets till their demands are met by the appropriate authorities to enable them to return to classes.

The protesting students maintained that the twelve weeks extension of the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union Of Universities is unacceptable to them.
