Kaduna Govt Reacts As Boko Haram Begins Massive Recruitment

The notorious terrorist group started the recruitment process during a visit to some villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.

 
The Kaduna State Government has broken its silence following reports that a splinter group of Boko Haram, Ansaru terrorist group has started recruitment.
 
We reported earlier that the notorious terrorist group started the recruitment process during a visit to some villages in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of the state on Wednesday.
 
Daily Trust report revealed further that the terrorists during their visit shared gifts to the villagers to celebrate Eid-el-Fitr and to woo the residents to join them.
 
Some of the villages visited by the terrorist group include Damari, Farin Ruwa, Kwasa Kwasa, Kuyello, Gobirawa, Tabanni, Kutemeshi and Kazage.
 
The terrorists were said to have also preached and distributed a five-page pamphlet titled; ‘We are not Boko Haram but Ansaru’, flash disks and other items to the villagers.
 
Also, the insurgents reportedly performed motorcycle stunts to entertain the villagers in a bid to entice them to join their nefarious business.
 
Reacting to the development, Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs in Kaduna, Samuel Aruwan, said the government was aware of the activities of the terror group.
 
Aruwan said the government received an intelligence report on the insurgents’ activities and the appropriate authorities have taken up the matter.
