Heartland FC Players Locked In Hotel For Non-Payment Of Food, Room Bills (Photos)

The players were prevented from leaving the hotel premises until the government pay for the player's food and hotel room charges.

 
Players of Heartland FC of Owerri have been locked inside a hotel over their failure to pay for food and accommodation bills they incurred.
 
Photos of the players looking downcast following the incident have surfaced online.
 
It was gathered that the players were prevented from leaving the hotel premises located at MCC- Uratta Road in Owerri until the government intervenes.
 
This incident happened on Saturday morning 23 April, 2022.
 
 
The hotel management said Heartland FC is owing them approximately N700,000 thousand Naira for the player's food and hotel room charges. The hotel management also said that Heartland FC is also owing them another money for food and hotel rooms fees incurred by Heartland FC Queens of Owerri, over one million Naira few months ago.
 
Heartland FC is currently struggling to escape relegation in the Nigeria Professional Football League.
