The suspects were arrested during a raid on the hotel where underaged children were allegedly trafficked and used as s*x slaves.
The officers of the Delta State Police Command have arrested the owner of Fagoma hotel at Aragba, Otokutu in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Edwin Etareri and his wife one Mrs Grace Etareri over alleged child trafficking and underage s*x.
The suspects are currently cooling off their heels in the Police custody, DAILY POST learnt.
The suspects were arrested during a raid on the hotel where underaged children were allegedly trafficked and used as s*x slaves.
The police also rescued five underaged children from the brothel.
The underaged children included Happiness Johnson ‘f’ age 13yrs, Esther Godspower ‘f’ age 21yrs, Angel John ‘f’ age 22yrs, Miracle Bishop ‘f’ age 19yrs and Happiness Isreal ‘f’ 19yrs.
The Delta State Police Command, led by CP Ari Muhammed Ali confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
The Police image maker said, “Investigations revealed that one Joy ‘f’ surname unknown now at large trafficked the underage girls from Rivers State, took them to Patani where they were forced into taking an oath before they were brought to Otu-Jeremi and harboured by one Edwin Etareri, the owner of the said brothel and his wife one Mrs Grace Etareri currently in custody.
“Ten other male suspects and ten female suspected prostitutes were also arrested during the raid.
“Investigation is ongoing.”
