According to a report by Daily Trust, Hajiya Fatima, the mother of popular social media critic, Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata, who mysteriously disappeared in the early hours of August 2, 2019 has died at the age of 66 years.
Dadiyata, who could have been 37 this year, was allegedly taken from his Barnawa home in Kaduna in 2019.
His wife said he had arrived at home around 1am and was on the phone when unknown assailants grabbed him, forced him back into his vehicle and drove off.
Hajiya Fatima had in a 2020 interview with Daily Trust said she remained hopeful that she would be reunited with her son even though she thought of him with a lot of sadness.
“I have resigned my fate to Allah and with all the prayers from well-wishers, I know he will be released when Allah says it’s time. But my prayer is to live to see that day,” she said.
Daily Trust gathered that the mother of six died yesterday at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital after a brief illness.
