Adesina was reacting to an explosive Easter message by Catholic Bishop of Sokoto diocese, Kukah.
Presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina has accused Nigerians of destroying the country with their own mouths.
He was reacting to an explosive sermon by Catholic Bishop of Sokoto diocese, Matthew Kukah accusing the Buhari-led administration of dividing Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines.
We reported earlier that Kukah made the claim during his Easter message on April 17. He cautioned religious leaders against falling prey to the antics of politicians by monetary inducements, and further added that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is in hibernation mode while the country is broken and divided.
He also averred that the only thing working in the country is corruption, adding that Nigeria must be reclaimed from its impending slide to anarchy.
Reacting to this, Adesina absolved his principal of any blame, insisting that those making such claims are those who divided Nigeria with their mouths, with evil and unguarded speaking.
He tweeted;
Those who divided Nigeria with their mouths, with evil, unguarded speaking, are the ones now accusing President Buhari. How sad! Their wicked intentions shall not come to pass.
