In an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, Governor Ortom stated that the committee has not jettisoned zoning.

Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has said that reports that the Peoples Democratic Party threw its 2023 presidential ticket open is false.

It was reported yesterday that the PDP zoning committee had shunned zoning arrangements and thrown the presidential ticket open to all aspirants.

Debunking the report in an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, Governor Ortom stated that the committee has not jettisoned zoning nor made the ticket available to all presidential hopefuls.

Ortom, Chairman of the zoning committee, however, reiterated his earlier statement that members only reached a unanimous agreement on zoning the presidential ticket.

The governor stated that a report of the committee will be forwarded to the National Executive Committee of the party who will make the final decision.
