Governor Orders Political Appointees Seeking Elective Positions to Resign

The Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku gave the directive on Tuesday in a press statement made available to media practitioners.

 
The Governor of Taraba has given an order to all political appointees in the state.
 
According to him, all appointees jostling for elective positions in the forthcoming general elections should resign their positions.
 
Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku gave the directive on Tuesday in a press statement made available to media practitioners in Jalingo by his Chief Press Secretary, Iliya Bekyu Akweh.
 
They were directed to tender their resignation letters to the appropriate channel on or before Friday this week.
 
The directive also affects political appointees serving in the local governments which include supervisory councillors, special advisers and secretaries to the local government councils.
