Bandits Kill Retired Police Officer’s Son, Kidnap 20 In Kaduna Communities

A source on Friday, said the bandits also kidnaped the deceased’s father, retired police officer, Elkanah, alongside 20 other people in Ungwar Bulus.

 
A retired police officer’s son, Lewis Elkanah and two others have been killed by bandits.
 
The incident happened on Thursday night.
 
The affected communities are: Ungwar Bulus and Ungwar Gwari in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
 
A source who spoke to DAILY POST on Friday, said the bandits also kidnaped the deceased’s father, retired police officer, Elkanah, alongside 20 other people in Ungwar Bulus.
 
Confirming the incident in Kaduna on Friday, a resident, Mr. Benjamin Yunanah Maigari told DAILY POST that the bandits had a field day terrorising the residents of the area.
 
He called on the security agents to urgently beam their searchlight, with a view to rescuing the kidnapped victims.
 
Recall that some communities in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State have become the subject of attack by kidnappers.
 
In December 3, 2021, they stormed Urgwan Gimbiya, killed four and kidnaped 20 people.
 
Also, in March 11, 2022, bandits killed 2 and abducted 20 women in Ungwan Galadima, Gonin-Gora, among others.
 
Kaduna Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige did not pick his calls, even as he did not not respond to the text message sent to him.
