A cattle merchant, Alhaji Gidado Hassan has been killed by gunmen in Jalingo, Taraba State capital on Wednesday, March 23.
His wife and two of his sons were also abducted by the assailants.
Daily Trust reported that Alhaji Gidado Hassan, who is a leading cattle merchant in Jalingo, was attacked at his residence at Mallam Audu village around 2 am.
The gunmen numbering about twelve forced their way into the house of the merchant. It was also gathered that while the assailants were leading the merchant and his family members to an unknown location they shot him dead and left his lifeless body behind.
Gidado Hassan was buried at Jika Da Dari main burial ground at about 9.30 am on Thursday, March 24.
The spokesperson for the Taraba State Police Command, DSP Usman Abdullahi has also confirmed the incident.
