This, Primate Ayodele said, would cause Nigeria’s economy to be unstable till 2025.

The Leader Of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele has warned Nigerians that the economy will remain unstable till 2025.

He made the revelation on Monday. He added that Nigeria will be broke which will cause the country's economy to be unstable.

A statement by Ayodele’s spokesman, Oluwatosin Osho, said Nigeria’s next president would inherit a huge debt profile and an unstable economy.

Ayodele said the economic situation of Nigeria would lead to a lack of food and an increase in the cost of living.

He noted that only prayers and the creation of an intelligent economic team would help Nigeria.

The clergyman also disclosed that the food shortage would affect both the rich and the poor.

According to Ayodele: “The Nigerian economy will not stabilize till 2025, the next president will be welcomed with debt and an unstable economic condition. People will have money in their hands but will not be able to buy foodstuff.

“There will be a scarcity of foodstuff, and there will be protests. There will be an increase in the cost of living such that many families will be forced to start rationing their food and cut down on their standard of living. This will affect both the poor and the rich; nobody will be spared.

“There will be a serious food crisis. Food and security crisis will become a big problem in Nigeria any moment from now. The high cost of foodstuff and the eventual shortage of food will become the order of the day in Nigeria.

“This government will be broke. Some banks will cease to be healthy, and this will cause real panic among the public.”
