The new Deputy Governor said the unscheduled visit to the State Water Board in Gusau, was part of his efforts to monitor the activities of MDA,s in the state.
The Zamfara State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Mohammed Gusau has ordered the immediate repair of a pumping machine at the State Water Board, directing that the management of the Board ensure clearance of any technical fault.
“I am ordering the management team of the Board to ensure total compliance and ensure that any technical fault that would obstruct the board from supplying water to the general public should be corrected with immediate effect” he added.

Speaking during the visit, the Deputy Governor lamented that the state government would not relent its efforts in ensuring workers’ punctuality to work, saying that the government would be extra vigilante on public facilities and sensitivity to the trust and confidence vested in them.
He expressed the state government’s commitment towards improving the services of the Water Board as one of the essential service MDAs in the state.
Senator Hassan Nasiha noted that such an impromptu visit is aimed at ascertaining public-oriented operations and service delivery in key areas and consistency in the supply of potable water.
He, however, inspected the Water Board to Gusau Water Barrage along Dansadau road and Koramar Wanke main barrage which are the sources of water supply to Gusau, the state capital and its environs.
The Deputy Governor called on the general public to exercise patience as the government is doing its best to address the water shortage in Gusau and its environs.
Speaking earlier, the Managing Director, Zamfara State Water Board, Buhari Salisu Dosara thanked the Deputy Governor for the visit, commending the state government for addressing sensitive issues that require urgent attention, reassuring to live up to expectations.
