According to a report by SaharaReporters, Udeme Upong, one of the co-defendants standing trial alongside alleged kidnap kingpin, Chukwudimeme Onwuamadike, aka Evans, has changed his plea of not guilty.
Udeme Upong, Evans, Joseph Ikenna Emeka, and Chiemeka Arinze have been charged before an Ikeja Special Offences Court on seven counts of murder, attempted murder, conspiracy to kidnap and selling of firearms.

Meanwhile, Evans, along with two others, was declared guilty of kidnapping by a Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja. The court presided over by Justice Hakeem Oshodi made the declaration on Friday, February 25.
