A self-acclaimed disciple of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has called on the federal government to ensure that embattled police officer, Abba Kyari goes to prison.

Simon Ekpa made the call on Monday as Kyari was brought to court.

Ekpa said Kyari should be taken to prison to have a taste of what it is like to be in a Nigerian prison.

The Biafra agitator was reacting to Kyari’s appeal that an Abuja Federal High Court not remand him in prison.

Kyari, a suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, made the appeal through his counsel, Kanu Agabi on Monday.

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, had charged the former DCP alongside six others for alleged drugs trafficking.

NDLEA had preferred an eight-count charge against him and six others before Justice Emeka Nwike.

But, Kyari pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.

However, Ekpa described the suspended DCP as a criminal who killed a lot of Igbos across the Southeast.

In a tweet, Ekpa wrote: “Criminal Abba Kyari must be transferred to prison, he needs to start learning how to stay in prison from Nig, he killed many innocent Biafrans as a Jihadist police officer.

“This man needs to be trained in Nigeria prison before going to California prison where they will drill him.”
