She accused the music star of ramming his car into her sister after she challenged him for damaging her car.

Nigerian singer Timaya has reacted to allegations that he hit a lady with his car and ran away.

We had reported that the singer was arrested on Thursday morning by security operatives of the Lagos police command after they stormed his residence for allegedly hitting a lady around Ikate Lekki, Lagos, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

The singer was said to have disappeared after the incident.

He was later called out by the victim's sister, Osinubi Omowumi.

She accused the music star of ramming his car into her sister after she challenged him for damaging her car.

Omowumi further went on to accuse the music star of causing severe injuries to her sister.

She alleged all effort to reach the singer to do the ‘needful’ proved abortive, as he went on to block her on all platforms.

Taking to his Instagram live this afternoon, Timaya narrated his own part of the story, revealing he did not know he hit the lady’s car and had stopped to collect her number so he could pay for damages.

However, he quickly drove off after sighting four aggressive men running towards his car, and the lady who felt he was trying to get away, grabbed the side mirror, which led her to fall and sustain the injuries.

He maintained that he had no evil intentions for anyone.
