No less than two persons have been confirmed dead in another road crash in Ogun State on Wednesday morning.
The lone crash, involving a Mazda bus occurred at about 08:20 AM at Olomore bridge, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
DAILY POST reports that two different road crashes had earlier occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, killing two persons each.
The Olomore crash, being the third today, raised the number of deaths to six.
In the Abeokuta incident, the FRSC said a total of three persons were involved, two men and one woman.
Florence Okpe, the Ogun state FRSC spokesperson, said that the woman and one man died in the accident.
“The injured victim was taken to General Hospital, Abeokuta and the corpses were deposited at the same hospital’s mortuary.
“The suspected cause of the lone crash was excessive speed which led to loss of control.
“FRSC personnel are fully on ground managing the situation,” Okpe told DAILY POST.
