The Nation reports that a moving train yesterday crashed into a Dangote Cement trailer and commercial tricycle (Keke NAPEP) in Kano.

“We saw the trailer coming towards the rail line as the train was speeding. I and some other people attempted to flag down the trailer but the driver did not notice.
“Next was a heavy sound of crash,” an eyewitness who runs his businesses near the rail track said.
Another eyewitness said: “When the driver of the trailer tried to cross the rail line, the train hit the vehicle and the tricycle at the same time.”
The incident affected vehicular movement at the Obasanjo Road for hours.
Some people were seen evacuating the bags of cement loaded in the truck, while security was beefed up to present urchins from looting the goods.
It was not clear whether any of the affected people died.
A Road Safety official who witnessed the accident told The Nation that they were checking the Murtala Muhammad Hospital to see the condition of the injured.
