The state government will be responsible for providing return air tickets, visas, training allowance to the first batch of 50 teachers that will attend the intensive training.

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has approved an MoU between Kano and Medina Academy in Saudi Arabia to train 5,000 teachers at Madina.
“The state government will be responsible for providing return air tickets, visas, training allowance to the first batch of 50 teachers that will attend the intensive training in Madina before Ramadan,” the Kano government disclosed.
According to People Gazette, the government also approved the release of N94.9 million to facilitate the settlement of rent stores and garage in Saudi Arabia for 2020 and 2021.
Meanwhile, Mr Ganduje’s government also approved N500 million as counterpart fund for a six-year World Bank-assisted project, ‘Agro Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL)’.
The information commissioner, Muhammad Garba, announced this during a news briefing on the State Executive Council’s meeting outcome.
He explained that the project aimed to increase the adoption of climate resilience landscape management practices and enhance livelihood in targeted arid and semi-arid watersheds in Northern Nigeria.
