A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, on the condition that he pays a whooping amount as bond.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has today, Tuesday, January 19th, granted the National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Olisa Metuh bail.
In granting him bail, the court ordered that Metuh will pay N400million and must provide two sureties with N200 million each who must reside in Abuja. The sureties should also swear affidavit along with two passport photographs and must also have properties in the Maitama district of Abuja.
The PDP spokesperson who was taken to court on Tuesday in handcuffs, is mandated to also submit his international passport and travel documents.
Metuh who has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for about two weeks, was accused of receiving N400 million from the arms money diverted by the office of the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Incidentally, the N400million the court ordered Metuh to pay, is the same amount the DSS is allegeding he collected from former NSA who is also being investigated for his involvement in the $2.1 billion arms scandal.
