Simi Calls Out MOBO Organisers For Snubbing Adekunle Gold At 2021 Awards

Nigerian singer, Simi has called out the organisers of the MOBO Awards for not adding Adekunle Gold to the 2021 nomination list.

Simi made a Twitter post on Friday questioning why her husband was snubbed for Best African Act category while some of his colleagues were nominated after the announcement was made on Thursday.

The ‘Duduke’ singer retweeted the post made by the organisers saying, ” Am I at the wrong tweet. But where is he? AG Baby da?”

Some of Simi and Adekunle’s fans also expressed their disappointment over the award snub.

Adekunle’s colleagues Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Rema, Tems, Arya Starr and Ckay were all nominated for Best African Act category including Davido who was featured in Gold’s new single ‘High’.

Wizkid and Rema received an additional nomination for Best International Act category.
