‘Fighting For Our Freedom Is Not A Crime’ – Rita Edochie Reacts To Video Of Nnamdi Kanu In Court

Recall that IPOB leader was brought into the court premises by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) around 9.50 am on Tuesday.

Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has insisted that it is not a crime for one to fight for his or her right.
 
She made the statement while reacting to a video of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra in court today. 
 
Recall that the IPOB leader was brought into the court premises by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) around 9.50 am on Tuesday.
 
Kanu is standing trial before Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court in Abuja based on charges related to treasonable felony and acts of terrorism brought against him by the federal government of Nigeria.
 
He arrived in court wearing a white designer outfit, however, the trial was adjourned until the 19th and 20th of January 2022 after the lead counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor staged a walkout.
  
Sharing the video, she wrote; “HERE IS MAZI NNAMDI OKWU KANU TODAY IN COURT.
 
IT IS WELL WITH YOU ONYE NDU ANYI MAZI NNAMDI OKWU KANU.
 
FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM IS NEVER A CRIME.
 
AKA CHUKWU OKIKE ABIAMA DI NA YA.”
