Alleged N2bn Fraud: Tight Security As Court Decides Former Pension Boss, Maina's Fate Today

Over 50 security operatives have stormed the court premises ahead of the judgment of the former pension boss.

The fate of former Chairman of the now-defunct Presidential Pension Reform Task Team (PPRTT), Abdurasheed Maina who is being tried on a 12-count charge bordering on money laundering to the tune of N2 billion would be decided today, Monday, November 8.

Operatives of the Department of the State Services, DSS, and the Nigeria Police Force have flooded the Federal High Court, Abuja, where judgment is expected to be delivered .

Maina was put on trial on 12 counts of criminal charges involving money laundering.

Justice Okon Abang is expected to deliver judgment in the trial that started in 2019.

Over 50 security operatives have stormed the court premises ahead of the judgment.

The fully-armed security operatives are controlling the inflow and outflow of lawyers, journalists, and litigants to the courtroom.

Meanwhile, Justice Abang is still being expected in the courtroom.
