Ondo Medical University Students To Now Pay As High As N2 Million Tuition Per Academic Session

SaharaReporters gathered that the school fees have increased ahead of the new revised academic calendar which begins on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

 

The many students of the Ondo State-owned University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, will begin to pay school tuition as high as N2 million in the next academic calendar, according to a document obtained by SaharaReporters on Wednesday, according to SaharaReporters. 

UniMed was established in 2015 as a specialised medical university.

SaharaReporters gathered that the school fees have increased ahead of the new revised academic calendar which begins on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

The highest fees on the list are to be paid by the students of the Faculty of Medicine, with non-indigenes in Years 1 – 3 required to pay N2,245,000 while indigenes will pay N1,320,000.

Those in the clinical year from 4 – 6 will pay N2,495,000 as non-indigenes and their indigenous classmates will pay N1,895,000.

In the Faculty of Dentistry, non-indigenes will in the pre-clinical year also pay N2,245,000 and their counterparts who are indigenes will pay N1,320,000. 

Meanwhile, the clinical students will pay N2,495,000 as non-indigenes and their counterparts who are indigenes will pay N1,895,000.

The non-indigenes and indigenes in the Nursing Sciences, Medical Rehabilitation (I) and Applied Health Sciences (I) will pay N1,200,000 and N900,000 respectively.

For those in Medical Rehabilitation (II) and Applied Health Sciences (II), the students who are non-indigenes and indigenes will pay N750,000 and N500,000 respectively.

For those in Basic Medical Sciences, School of Public Health, and Sciences (I) and (II), the school fees for non-indigenes is N400,000 while indigenes will pay N350,000.

The least school fees are for the Faculty of Sciences (III) in which non-indigenes will pay N240,000 and indigenes will pay N180,000.
