It was learnt that Fofano was also seen and voted as a delegate in last Saturday's APC congress in Adamawa State.

It has been revealed that Wilson Fofano, a Personal Media Assistant (PMA) to the Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Crowther Seth, has dumped the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress.

SaharaReporters reports that Fofano was also seen and voted as a delegate in last Saturday's APC congress in Adamawa State.

His appearing at the APC congress has sparked controversies, as some concerned PDP stalwarts expected Seth to denounce him. However, Fofano has continued in his role as PMA to the deputy governor.

Reacting to Fofano’s defection, the Chairman of the Numan local government council, Innocent Koto, contested Fofano's PDP membership.

He said, "Fofano has never been a member of the PDP at any given time. He comes from Bolki ward, and his name has always been in the APC registration.

"His appointment as Personal Media Aide to the deputy governor had nothing to do with the PDP. He's an APC member, as well as an aide to a PDP deputy governor.

"The deputy governor's political associates here in Numan are of the APC stock", he said.

Another PDP stalwart, who simply identified himself as Foredapwa, said, "The deputy (governor) claims Fofano is getting along with the APC folks to woo them to the PDP.

"But in reality we have yet to see anything close to that and one can only think of the contrary happening,” he added.

There have been insinuations that the deputy governor himself keeps ties with APC members in Numan because of his sour relationship with his political benefactor, a federal legislator, identified as Kwamoti La'ori.

A source privy to political calculation, has disclosed that Seth keeps APC associates just in case the unthinkable happens.

SaharaReporters learnt that there are already moves within the PDP to pressurise Governor Ahmadu Fintiri to drop Seth, when seeking reelection in 2023.

The assertion gained momentum when the PDP concluded its state congress without an input from the deputy governor.

At the APC party congress, Mustapha Ribadu, a younger brother of Sani Ribadu, who is a deputy Chief of Staff, attached to the Deputy Governor, was elected the state Organising Secretary.
