Abducted Traditional Title Holder Regains Freedom After Payment Of Ransom

Alh. Kabiru Ahmad( wali of Taura), the 60-year-old traditional title holder, who was kidnapped recently has regained his freedom after the payment of ransom to his abductors.

DAILY POST had reported that gunmen kidnapped the victim and set a police vehicle ablaze when police made an attempt to rescue him.

A family member who preferred anonymity told DAILY POST that the victim was released after the payment of N20m ransom to secure his freedom.

He explained that the ransom was paid to the criminals on Sunday inside Malam-Madori bush.

He added that the victim was released yesterday around 11:00 pm at Munjibir Local Government Area of Kano State.

Police Spokesman, ASP Lawan Shiisu Adam, also confirmed the release of the victim.
