Nollywood star actress, Damilola Adegbite has taken to Instagram to share her thoughts about the "perfection" message passed off in photos shared on social media.
Recounting how someone told her that she is perfect, pushing her to reflect on that, the actress noted that no one is perfect including Hollywood celebrities, as it is all angles and edits.
Damilola also recalled how she chose not to share a photo which showed her bloated tummy few years ago, disclosed that she has seen women whose mid sections have been stretched by the amazing process of motherhood, comparing their bodies to 19-year-olds.
Stressing that this is not possible, she urged everyone to be happy, healthy and let go of the unrealistic expectations.
The actress wrote; This picture was taken a few years ago. It didn’t make it to the gram because at the time, I had been eating like a pregnant goat and was slowly trying to exercise again. So when I saw this picture and my stomach, I was like “”Nah, this one isn’t going up”. (We all have those pictures don’t make it )
Yesterday, someone said to me that I look so perfect. I took a minute to reflect on that.
