The PUNCH reports that the National Association of Resident Doctors on Saturday has said it will not sign any Memorandum of Understanding with the Federal Government.

This is as the association reiterated its stance not to call off the ongoing strike until the Federal Government attends to its demands.

The association’s Vice President, Arome Adejo, disclosed this in an interview with Sunday PUNCH on Saturday.

Adeno said, “There is no hope of the strike being called off. We are tired of going back to our members with empty promises.

“In fact, we are not signing any Memorandum of Understanding with them. We have signed countless number of memorandum and we are not going to do again until they do what they are meant to do.

“We implore our members to look for other options, Saudi Arabia is looking for doctors and they are conducting interviews next week, let them go and sit for the interview and get out of this country.”

Similarly, the President of NARD, Uyilawa Okhuaihesuyi, said “The (NARD) NEC has no plans of meeting yet until the FG does the needful. When they do their work, the NEC will meet.”
