Daily Post reports that the Police in Oleh Division, headquarters of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State have arrested a 17-year-old boy, Onoriode Simon Akpoavirhi over the alleged murder of a 50-year-old woman, Ms Patience Komone who was declared missing last week.
It was learnt that the suspect allegedly deceived the deceased to a pepper farm under the pretence of selling for her and murdered her.
He consequently dumped her remains which has now decomposed.
The police arrested the suspects through the help of Umeh community youths who carried out a search in the community knowing well that the deceased was earlier seen with the suspect.
Upon the discovery of the decomposing corpse, Umeh community youths interrogated the suspect and he confessed to killing the woman. He also stole her money to buy musical instruments.
The Delta State Acting Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe is yet to confirm the report as he promised to issue a statement regarding the matter soon.
