Customs react, confirms clash between smugglers, officers in Iseyin
He said his men are on top of their game and have been successfully countering the strategies adopted by smugglers in the State.
DC Wada advised smugglers to get involved in legal business ventures and that their doors are open to advise people on profitable legal businesses to venture into instead of vying into the illegal business of smuggling with very high consequences.
“We are succeeding day by day we are pushing them (smugglers) down to the gallery.
“What is the essence of what you are having? Instead of going through the right part, you’re going to the wrong side, smuggling. These are highly unpatriotic businesses killing the country.
“Now look at what we’ve arrested so far, it is now a waste. They will now go and source for another money either through loans or other means and will go through the same channel, and we will still pursue them and confiscate it, bring it down, and that will definitely be a minus to them until such a time when they will not have anything to go for again.
“Why not try to do things right? Come to us, and we will direct you to where you will succeed because there are so many advantages.”
