Georgina Ibeh
Georgina Ibeh, the Nigerian actress, has said that she has no problem with fans tattooing the faces of their favourite celebrities on their bodies.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, she said, “I am indifferent about tattoos. A fan once tattooed my face on his body and that goes a long way to show that the fan really appreciates one.”
Assessing her journey in Nollywood so far, Ibeh said, “My experience in Nollywood has been what I would describe as, ‘Step by step, no jumping.’ I started off acting before I went to further my studies. I came returned to it after observing the National Youth Service Corps scheme. I always knew I was made for greatness. I have the talent, zeal, passion and humility.”
Sharing her thoughts on how lucrative the movie industry is, the Imo State-born actress said, “Nollywood can be compared to any other business where one would have to start from the scratch. The money might not come immediately but if one puts in a lot of work, one would have a fixed price and brands would start looking for one. Nollywood has done a lot of good to my career. I am not where I want to be but
I am focused. I am satisfied with my earnings and I know that with time, my fees will increase.”
On how she deals with attention from male fans, she said, “Men are created to appreciate beautiful women. But going overboard about it is what I don’t like. If a woman doesn’t want you (a man), then respect her decision.”
