N1.4bn: Court Acquits Former NBA President Usoro Of Money Laundering Charge

According to the judge, the anti-graft agency has failed to establish any prima facie case against Usoro which could prompt him to enter a defence.

The former President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Paul Usoro (SAN), has been acquitted of the N1.4bn money laundering charge filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Justice Rilwan Aikawa made the decision on Friday while ruling on Usoro’s no case submission.

According to the judge, the anti-graft agency has failed to establish any prima facie case against Usoro which could prompt him to enter a defence.
