The House of Representatives on Friday passed the Electoral Act Amendment bill and adoptiing e-transmission of results where practicable.
This comes as Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers in the House walked out during consideration of the Electoral Act amendment bill.
It all started when Speaker Femi Gbajabiamiala had appealed to members to allow consideration of other sections of the bill while leaving out the contentious section 5.
However after the consideration, Minority Leader Ndidi Elumelu said the House cannot be asked to rescind decision on section since it was not ruled upon.
He led PDP members out of the floor of the House in protest.
Following the walk out, the house went ahead and adopted electronic and manual transmission of election results.
