$2bn Arms Deal: Former PDP Chairman, Mohammed Bello Arrives Court in Wheel Chair for Trial (Photo)

A former chairman of the People's Democratic Party who was fingered as an accomplice in the controversial $2.1 billion arms deal scandal arrived at the Federal High court in a wheel chair.

A Former PDP Chairman, Mohammed Bello arrived the Federal High Court Abuja in a wheel chair for his trial in the ongoing investigation of the alleged diversion of $2.1 billion earmarked for the procurement of arms for the military.
 
Bello was arrested in December 2015 for receiving N600m from the office of the National Security Adviser in the name of Bam properties.
 
The money, according to the EFCC is part of the $2.1 billion funds meant for the procurement of arms for the military during the last administration.
 
Bello was meant to appear before the court last week Wednesday but couldn't as a result of his health challenge.
