The IGP had visited the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the State House in Marina before making his way to the Police Command in Ikeja.
A grand reception that was organized for the Inspector-General of Police, IGP, Usman Alkali Baba, at the Lagos State Police Command was disrupted by heavy winds.
The newly-appointed police boss was in Lagos for a familiarization tour of the Command.
He had visited the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the State House in Marina before making his way to the Police Command in Ikeja.
During the ceremony, heavy rain started and police officers, journalists, and guests scampered off to find shelter as the central canopy and several others collapsed under the strong wind.
The event later continued when the heavy wind subsided.
