Panic As Gunmen Abduct Medical Doctor And Nurse In Ogun

The medical practitioners were travelling when they were ambushed and whisked away by the gunmen at Olubo village.

Oladunni Odetola, a medical doctor, and Mrs. Bamgbose, a nurse, were abducted by unknown gunmen while traveling on Abeokuta-Imeko road, Ogun state on Wednesday night, April 7.

Odetola who heads the General Hospital in Imeko, headquarters of Imeko-Afon LGA, was traveling with the nurse when they were ambushed and whisked away by the gunmen at Olubo village.

Their vehicle, a Toyota Camry (Muscle) with registration number, KTU 584 FR, was left in the middle of the road, where it was discovered by the police.

Police retrieved the doctor’s NMA card and a minute of the association’s meeting.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said police detectives are currently on the trail of the kidnappers.
