Benin vs Nigeria: Ahmed Musa Talks Tough Over AFCON Qualifier

The former Leicester City forward believes that beating the Squirrels in Porto Novo should be a task that the Super Eagles must accomplish.

The Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has vowed that Nigeria will end Benin Republic’s eight years unbeaten home record when both teams clash in the 2021 AFCON qualifier on Saturday evening.

The former Leicester City forward believes that beating the Squirrels in Porto Novo should be a task that the Super Eagles must accomplish.

Gernot Rohr’s men are on top of the Group with a point ahead of Benin and a win will seal their qualification for the 2022 AFCON billed for Cameroon.

“The training was good, and thank God we have everyone in the camp now, and we are working hard.

“We are going there to win. We understood they have not lost at home since 2013, but we are going there to try to get a win.

“I know that the boys can do it and I know by the grace of God we will do it,”
Musa told Brila FM.

The kick-off time for Benin vs Nigeria is 5 pm.
