Defending the motion, the Lawmaker said it has become necessary to enact a law that punishes traditional medicine sellers using obscene words to advertise their products, especially in public places.

Katsina State Assembly has sought a motion seeking for a Law prohibiting the use of crass words by herbal medicine sellers to advertise their products.
The motion has scaled second reading at the Katsina State House of Assembly.
The motion was sponsored by Alhaji Ali Abubakar Albaba, the member representing Katsina Local Government at the House.
Defending the motion, the Lawmaker said it has become necessary for the House to enact a law that punishes traditional medicine sellers using obscene words to advertise their products especially in public places.
Alhaji Albaba said the act is becoming a source of concern to the society hence his decision to sponsor the motion.
After deliberating on the motion at the floor of the house, it was forwarded to the house committees on Justice and that of Religious Affairs for necessary advice for enacting a law on the act.
