According to the former aide, most African countries do not like Nigerians due to their condescending tone towards them.

Following the arrest of Nigerian singers, Tems and Omah Lay in Uganda, the former media aide to former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, Abiola Rinsola has stated that the condescending tone of Nigerians towards other African countries might be a reason why they are disliked.

Some Nigerians have attributed the arrest and arraignment of Omah and Tems to the dislike some African countries have for Nigerians

In an apparent reaction to this assumption, Rinsola Tweeted;

''Our condescending tone towards other African countries might add to why they don't like us, though. Diplomacy is key, and the more you talk about how insulting it is that certain countries would dare to do certain things, the more they feel they have a point to prove.''
