A Total Of 38,051 Foreigners Applied For Nigerian Citizenship In 2 years - FG Reveals

The Ministry recorded a total of 45,751 business application and 38,051 Citizenship applications from September 2018 to October 2020, leading to an improvement in income generation for the govt.

A total of 38,051 foreigners applied for Nigeria's citizenship from September 2018 to October 2020, the Federal government has disclosed.
 
The disclosure was made by Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior, Dr Shuaib Belgore, at the 4th Quarter 2020 Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Units’ Consultative Forum (3PUCF) of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) hosted by the Ministry of Interior.

She said the Ministry recorded a total of 45,751 Business application as well as 38,051 Citizenship applications from September 2018 to October 2020, leading to an  improvement in income generation for the Government by the Ministry.
