Plans by Amotekun corps has been frowned at by a former Nigerian senator, Shehu Sani.

Nigerian politician, Shehu Sani has condemned Amotekun corps for saying it will not tolerate indecent dressing and bastardising of Yoruba language by the youths.
The Osun State commandant of the regional security network, Amotekun, Amitolu Shittu said this during an interview with Daily Independent.
However, a former senator Sani while condemning the move, said Amotekun is going beyond its mandate.
He wrote:
"The very moment Amotekun extends their mandate beyond security issues to the enforcement of ‘decent dressing’, they have become Hisbatekun."
