Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, has been sacked from the National Assembly by a court.

The election of Senator Godswill Akpabio, the Senate Minority Leader who is a chieftain of the the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been nullified by the Federal Court of Appeal.
According to SaharaReporters, the Court of Appeal on Thursday announced that violations to the Electoral Act during the senatorial election between Akpabio and the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Inibehe Okori informed their ruling.
The Court reportedly ordered a rerun election in 90 days.
It will be recalled that Akpabio was two-term governor of Akwa Ibom State.
