Women In Jigawa Community Contribute Money To Buy A Car To Take Pregnant Women To The Nearest Clinic

The women contributed N1,000 each to buy a car to take pregnant women to a health facility when they are in labour.

Nigerian journalist, Abubakar Jari has narrated how some women in Bordo village of Jahun LGA in Jigawa State contributed money to buy a car to take pregnant women in the community to the nearest clinic.

According to Jari, the nearest clinic to the village is 29km away and the women contributed N1,000 each to buy a N1m car which will take pregnant women to the health facility when they are in labour.

He Tweeted;


"Women in Bordo village of Jahun LGA in Jigawa State contributed N1000 each & bought a N1 million car that is being used to take pregnant women to the nearest clinic (29 KM) when they are in labour. Kudos"
