Kwara State Undergraduates Stage Protest

There was a protest staged by Undergraduates in Kwara state on Wednesday August 19, to demand for the reopening of higher institutions in the state.

Higher institutions of learning in Nigeria have been shut down since March as part of measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

The protesting undergraduates marched to the front of the government house in Ilorin. They argued that if airports, markets, and churches can be reopened, their schools should also be reopened.

They carried placards with different inscriptions such as ''Adamu Save Our Education', Re-open Polytechnic Now'.
