The Peoples Democratic Party in Abia state has been thrown into a state of mourning following the death of its chairman.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), chairman, Abia state chapter, Johnson Onuigbo is dead.
The close ally of former Governor Theodore Orji, now the current Senator representing Abia central senatorial district, died in the late hours of Monday July 27.
His remains has been deposited at an undisclosed mortuary in a hospital in Umuahia.
