Popular Nigerian 'humanist,' Mazi Uju Nwokorobia has sparked chaos online over a controversial statement he made about the role of women in the society.

He stated that the role of women in the society is to bear and raise children and not to pursue a career or struggle to be wealthy. He also said that women may end up unhappy if they neglect the natural role of bearing and raising children.

He wrote on Facebook: “The major role of women in the society is to bear and raise children. It is not to pursue a career or struggle to be wealthy. A woman who neglects this natural role may turn out unhappy.”
