A Nigerian man has shared his inspiring story never to give up after he finally became a doctor in the US.
Oduyale finally graduated as a doctor after many failed attempts
Seye Oduyale has made his family and Nigeria proud as he graduated from John Hopkins University School of Medicine.
The Nigerian's achievement came after he had sent out applications to eight different medical schools and got admitted into Johns Hopkins.
Seye's mum gave the push he needed to succeed as she urged him to apply to the top American school.
In a Twitter post Wednesday, May 20, the young Nigerian spoke about how his mum encouraged him to achieve his dream.
During his application process, Seye quoted his mum as saying:
“Send one to Johns Hopkins,” she said. “You never know what God is capable of.” 8 med school apps, 1 acceptance, and $300k later, I get to celebrate the sacrifices of many who have walked with me to this point. This one’s for you, Mum.. Doctor of Medicine, Johns Hopkins SOM. “Can’t wait to start another chapter of my career at @WashUSurgery under @PaulEdWise 🔪”
Seye thanked his mum and everybody who have made sacrifices for him along the way.
