Benue state COVID-19 index case, Susan Okpe, has finally been released from isolation by the federal government after 58 days.
Recall that Mrs Susan Okpe had on numerous ocassions called for her release, insisting she does not have the coronavirus (COVID-19) despite the minister of health stating that several tests were carried out on her and came out positive.
Okpe is said to have been in denial and asymptomatic but she refused to take any medications until she is shown her “real” test result.
All through her stay in the isolation centre, Mrs Susan Okpe insisted that she doesn’t have the deadly virus and refused to take medications unless she’s shown the “real” result of her test.
She insisted the results she was presented with were not hers as the information on it were allegedly not hers, including the age and date of admission.
She also refused to take another test that will confirm if she’s now negative for COVID-19 and said she was eventually released after health experts said she has met the WHO requirements.
“I’ve just been given my test and they said I’m still positive, but I can go, that I’ve met the WHO requirements,” she said.
“I’m finally leaving the detention centre. I’m leaving the incarceration center,” she added as she packed her bags and left the isolation centre in a video she shared online.
