Wike arrests men hidden inside trailer trying to enter the state
Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike has arrested 14 men who hid inside trailers conveying cows from the North into the state, on Thursday night, May 7.
He ordered the cows to be auctioned for violating the laws of the state.
The men hid inside the trailers so as to enter the state despite ban on Interstate travel. They were intercepted by security agents stationed at the state borders.
Governor Wike has summarily declared that the 14 people are to be tested first for Coronavirus and then charged to court while the cows and trailer would be auctioned.
He also arrested other travelers as he urged people to stay at home.
