Uzo Martins and wife, Joan Chinyere
A Nigerian security officer, Uzo Martin has married his sweetheart, Chinyere Joan who was formerly a Reverend sister.
The photos of the couple have been generating comments on social media since news broke about the woman's decision to leave the convent and settle down with her man.
However, the husband during a Facebook post, urged people to stop mocking his wife for her decision since marriage is an institution ordained by God.
Sharing photos of their wedding, Uzo wrote:
"Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. Marriage is an institution created by God. A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. MARRIAGE SHOULD BE HONOURED BY ALL AND THE MARRIAGE KEPT PURE. There is no fear in love. Chi Chi, I hold you in my heart for we have shared together God's blessings. Do not mock God's institution. We just got happily married and God bless us more. Mr and Mrs Uzo Martin."
