This dangerous snake was seen loitering around the premises of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA.
The python hanging around a student's neck
According to reports, the very long python was seen crossing the road towards the Senate building of the school around 11pm when a shuttle bus crushed the head and alerted students nearby.
Some brave students went after the animal which quickly went defensive after noticing it was in danger.
It took the intervention of the male occupants of the Abiola Hostel to annihilate the python.
Instead of feasting on it like most Nigerians will do, the students decided to take it to the school wildlife centre this morning so that it could be used for research purposes.
